“The way I felt” art exhibition

The DNACA Art in Public Places program features “The Way I Felt” by artist Emmaline (Mary Baker), who was featured in the 29th annual DNACA Art Exhibition. The award-winning art of Emmaline is created with a unique felting process to create bold and colorful images. The exhibit runs until January 13, 2022 at the 2nd Floor Mezzanine at CEC Airport at 1650 Dale Rupert Road, Crescent City. The exhibition is visible during the opening hours of the airport terminal: from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. 30th art exhibition with jury of the DNACA – Call for artists

The Del Norte Association for Cultural Outreach is seeking artists from Del Norte County and Curry County for their 30th Annual Jury Art Show. Admission takes place at the Del Norte County Courthouse on Nov. 18 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The registration fee is $ 10 per piece of art, and artists can submit up to two pieces, wired for hanging. The works of art selected for the exhibition will remain on display at the Del Norte courthouse until January 13, 2022. Season tickets for DNACA’s 40th anniversary performance series

The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness is pleased to present its 40th Anniversary Performance Series. The season features five live concerts from a wide variety of artists including blues and soul, world music / dance / storytelling, jazz and vintage comedy, tango and jazz. hypnotic dance, and a comedian “seated” at the piano. “We are worthy” art exhibition

The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness presents the work of Julie Smiley, in its multimedia exhibition entitled “We Are Worthy”. Inspired by her work with survivors of domestic violence, Smiley worked on the theme of “resilience” to create her original works. Smiley’s project was funded through a grant from the Artists Resilience Fund (FAR) and awarded by the DNACA, Ink People and the Humboldt Area Foundation. Running through November 18, as part of the DNACA’s Art in Public Places program, the exhibit can be viewed in the lobby of the Del Norte County Courthouse, 450 H Street, Crescent City. Crescent City Art at 1228 2nd St., Crescent City, is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery’s artist of the month is Rodney Reid. Members’ art exhibits include spray paint artist Spencer Bishop at the Del Norte County Library, watercolor artist Pauline Lodolini at the Smith River Library, and an exhibit by various artists at the Infusion Center of the Sutter Coast Hospital and in the main lobby of Sutter Coast Hospital. Crescent Harbor Art Gallery

Crescent Harbor Art Gallery’s Artist of the Month is Arlene Krogstad, with her “Scenes from Del Norte” exhibition, showcasing new oil paintings made over the past year. Arlene moved to our area from Denver eight years ago and is constantly inspired by the scenic views here. His new works include paintings of two lighthouses, seascapes, children playing on the beach, and redwoods. The gallery is located at 140 Marine Way and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Mondays. Face covers are mandatory. For more information, call 707-464-9133.

The Arts and Culture Gallery

The Arts and Culture Gallery at 175 H Street features oil paintings by award-winning artist Daniel Desmond. While Dan and his artist wife Marianne Strehler moved to Crescent City several years ago, he has been painting in oils for over 60 years and has focused primarily on landscapes and seascapes. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, and masks will be required inside the gallery at all times.
