The Art Gallery of Burlington has a new general manager.

Emma Quin has been chosen to lead the organization as it unveils a new strategic plan later this year.

Quin was appointed to lead the organization through the next phase of its evolution, where AGB uses art to activate creativity within individuals, organizations and communities to improve well-being, stimulate innovation and create economic opportunities.

According to an AGB spokesperson, Quin has been an active contributor to AGB in the past and most recently spent five years as CEO at the Textile Museum of Canada, where she led the museum throughout. the development and execution of its 2018-2021 strategic plan.

Her leadership experience also includes over 20 years with Craft Ontario, including nine years as Executive Director/CEO. Quin has 30 years of experience working with cultural, charitable and not-for-profit organizations in Ontario, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the arts and crafts sector.

“Ms. Quin brings significant experience in developing strong partnerships and stakeholder relationships, as well as a strong track record of revenue generation spanning federal, provincial and municipal sources as well as private sector donations to advance the mission of the organizations she led,” the AGB spokesperson said.
