Art Exhibit Celebrates New Bay of Lights Trail

The annual English Riviera Winter Open exhibition returns for another year to close out 2022 in a celebration of Torbay’s creative and cultural coastline.

Hosted at the Artizan Collective Gallery on Fleet Walk, the exhibition sits along this year’s Bay of Lights Illumination Trail which begins at the waterfront and passes right past the exhibition’s front door.

The six-week exhibition runs throughout the holiday season until Christmas Eve and features contemporary works by some of the South West’s best-known artists.

With a range of original artworks, innovative sculptures, jewellery, ceramics and greeting cards, the exhibition supports over 150 artists and designers, offering the public the opportunity to simply enjoy the designer collection of Devon or explore Torbay’s greatest local and independent offering. this Christmas for unique gifts for every budget.

This year the exhibition is also supporting applications from nine emerging student artists with a range of original photographs, sculptures and paintings from Torbay schools.

The work of these talented youngsters sits alongside that of South West Academicians, the Royal Academy and selected Royal West of England Academy, making the event one of Devon’s most important showcases for discovering emerging artists. and professionals, and a great opportunity to support the locals this Christmas. .

The exhibition runs from Saturday 12 November to 24 December with a launch tomorrow (Friday 11 November) from 6pm to 8pm which the public can book to attend at www.art-hub.co.uk/erso22pv
