Call for submissions for works of art at the Harrington Gallery at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton

Harrington Gallery at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton announces the call for nominations for Fresh Works 5th Annual Jury Show. Open to Bay Area artists working in all 2D and 3D media. Note: no jewelry. Video art will be accepted based on space; the artist must provide material. All artwork must be original, completed within the past two years, and never been exhibited in Pleasanton. The deadline for submitting the registration form and fees is Wednesday March 18 at 5:00 p.m.
Special guest juror: Philip Linhares. Mr. Linhares is well known in the Bay Area for his 21-year tenure as chief curator of the Oakland Museum of California from 1990 to 2011. He was also director of the Mills College Art Gallery, director of the program in graduate at the California College of Arts and Director of Exhibitions at the San Francisco Art Institute.
The exhibition will run from May 2 to June 6, with the Artists’ Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 2, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Firehouse Arts Center Harrington Gallery, 4444 Railroad Avenue, Pleasanton.
