PöLTEN, BASS AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA, December 26, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Photographer, graphic designer, filmmaker and artist Robert Lösch shows in his latest exhibition “Korrelatives Kontradikt” (“Correlative contradiction“) https://www.robertloesch.at/korrelatives-kontradikt/ from 12/06/2021 to 01/07/2022 at NV Center Galleries (St. Pölten) his personal examination of existence itself, in the form of the contrast between chaos and order. His interdisciplinary works describe the interactions between planned and random that are necessary for life. The exhibition is a combination of individual works and series. The contrasts extend from the large image to the smallest detail and thus form a contextual framework. The great unifying element is the often interdisciplinary and precise examination of the stories hidden in the background, which relate to the fundamentals of existence. In this way, emotional as well as geometric themes are treated. Physics, mind and heart ultimately resonate in unison, especially due to precise graphic design or a random image felt.

“Correlative controdiction”

Robert Lösch studied architecture at the Technical University of Graz (A) and Politecnico Milano (I) as well as photography at Graphische Vienna (A) and graduated from the Master School for Communication and Design at Graphische Vienna (A) ). Previously he also exhibited at Kunsthaus Graz (A), Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (A) and designforum Vienna (A) among others. His love for architecture, his penchant for precision and his passion for photography are reflected in all his works and always alternate not only in their nature but also in their expression. The name of the exhibition is partly composed of his own verbal creation and denotes a state of real oppositions which, precisely because of their disparity, form a coherent whole. The interdisciplinary techniques employed range from painting to photography to driving motorcycles.

Among many other works, this exhibition focuses particularly on two pieces. “Herniated“(Engl.” Low “) (https://www.robertloesch.at/hernieder ) is both a tribute and a questioning of the old master Luca Giordano. His probably most famous painting “The fall of the rebel angels” raises a few questions to be looked at more closely, which Robert Lösch takes up in his new interpretation and, among other things, sheds light on in a socio-critical way. The second main work of the exhibition is entitled “Fire & Earth“(https://www.robertloesch.at/fire-earth ) and represents an attempt to capture emotion as memory. It deals with forgetting and the distortion of memories across time and space. In the end, through many paths it all suddenly ends in a painting almost 2m ^ 2 in size, made with a motorbike in a ruined castle.

Space and time meet at this point. Art, design, technology and history attempt to capture a single thought with all their power, to manifest an emotion.

“Herniate”

Exhibited for the first time in the Bassano room of the Kunsthistorisches Museum (khm), the original windows are a gift from the khm. The work refers to a painting by the old master Luca Giordano. He reinterprets aspects of his work in a socio-critical context.

“Nicaragua – Fight for freedom”

Nicaragua is fighting for its freedom and finds itself at the crossroads between peace and violence. The turmoil of the country is expressively portrayed. The painting was created in cooperation with Nicaraguan artist Rebeca Mandlberger and also originally served as a projection screen for an art video. The photographs were taken by Robert Lösch during a stay in Nicaragua and are superimposed on photos of lost places.

“LASPP – Live Action Splatter Painting (Photography)”

The canvas as a projection screen for a single moment. The color in the flow through space is photographically captured at the exact moment of “creation”. But here, the emphasis is not on photography, but on its imprint in the world: the image on the canvas.

“Interlacing”

Everything in the world stands in a multi-layered, multi-dimensional space. The “interlacings” are nested meta-images of the second iteration, images of images of images.

“Megalomania”

The mania for ever larger mega-infrastructures, for spatial densification, is leading us towards an unknown future. Whether full of unimaginable possibilities or meaning, darkness is often purely subjective.

“2D / 3D”

Space is as much an illusion as the surface. The nesting, however, thanks to the correlation of all the components, creates a perspective that is more fatamorgana than a true spatial construction.
