Fairmount Arts Center prepares for 45th annual art exhibition

It’s a great weekend for art, rain or shine. Outdoor festivals and indoor exhibitions provide memorable artistic fixes. Family activities also hold the interest of young artists.

Christmas shopping with unique gifts from local artists, artisans and women at the 40th Chardon Arts Festival in Chardon Square and the 30th Nature Arts Festival in the Goga Park neighborhood at Big Creek Park Let’s get started. Read below for more information.

Our buying trends have changed over the past two years, resulting in a significant increase in online shopping. We are at the height of summer. There is a lot of last minute work to be done before you go back to school or go to college. A trip to the zoo or the beach, or a boat ride, a hike, or a last chance to travel. Northeastern Ohio has a bit of it all. Well, that could be the theme of the show. read.

Stella Art Gallery

Ahah is there. Registrations for the new exhibition “Art Inspired by Northeast Ohio” at Stella’s Art Gallery at Euclid Avenue 38033 in Willoughby will be open from 1 pm to 7:30 pm on August 6 and from 11 am to 5 pm on August 7. It will be accepted until 30:30.

All media are welcome. The work must have been inspired by northeastern Ohio. If in doubt, check out the map at stellasartgallery.com. There is also a schedule for future shows listed there.

The categories are Parks and Recreation, Events in Northeast Ohio, Flora and Fauna. Stella’s likes to make the creative process easier and asks artists to include a statement in support of how Northeast Ohio encouraged them to create their work.

The jury for the exhibit is Wendy Pittanger, and Lake Metroparks exhibits naturalists.

There will be a reception on August 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. The price will be announced at 8:30 p.m.

“The ‘Northeast Ohio’ show is my favorite show,” said gallery owner Dani Klein. “I am very impatient.”

She says it’s like the best travelogue in our area, motivating people to check out more around the corner from a new perspective.

Fairmount Arts Center

The Fairmount Arts Center on Fairmount Road 8400 in Russell Township will host the 45th annual art exhibit on August 9. The show will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on August 26 until the opening. It is open to the public free of charge.

At the show, artists from across Ohio will be on display and 150 of the 350 will be selected for judging. The show was judged by artist and writer Brian Jacobs, artist and photographer Cindy M. Conopka, and metal sculptor Jerry Schmidt.

Family exhibits include an interactive scavenger hunt to work on art and win prizes, including discounted incentives to enroll in Fairmount’s Fall Art Program.

The Fairmount Arts Center celebrates its 50th anniversary. Congratulations.

Fundraising will begin earlier this year and end with this exhibit. The prize for the Fairmount 500 raffle is $ 15,000. Tickets are limited to 500 tickets and will sell on August 25 or all tickets. The lottery will take place during the reception and will be broadcast live.

Chardon Square

Historic Chardon Square is at the intersection of routes 44 and 6. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 8, the Chardon Arts Festival will bring together more than 100 judges.

Discover this picturesque environment without snow. If you’re not from those areas, Thistle is a popular site for news crews to film heavy snowfall in Northeast Ohio. Beautiful all year round – just add illustrations and it’s perfect.

This year’s featured artist is Jim Anderson of Farmhouse Stoneware. He has participated in this event since its inception 40 years ago and has played a decisive role in its formation. He and his wife, Betsy of Manson Township, will provide a special souvenir for the show and donate a portion of the proceeds to Chardon Square.

Parking is free, and a 5-minute shuttle to Big Creek Park during the 30th Nature Arts Festival in the Joga Park District is also free.

Joga Park District

The 30th Nature Arts Festival at 9160 Robinson Road, Big Creek Park in the Joga Park District will also be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., exhibiting 50 regional artists and vendors from the All-Indoor Farmer’s Market. / It will be an outdoor event.

Great effort and attention has gone into every detail to make the Nature Arts Festival special and very family friendly. The festival features take-out crafts, face painting, balloon art, and nature-inspired poetry and prose readings.
