Fusion Art Announces Winners of 7th Annual Waterscape Art Exhibition

Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States – March 10, 2022 – Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 7th Annual Waterscapes International Art Exhibition. The exhibit is now available on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: traditional art, digital art, and photography and three-dimensional art.

For this exhibition, 2D and 3D artists from all over the world were invited to submit their best works of art and photographs depicting aquatic landscapes. All artists, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best work in any medium.

The winners of the 7th Annual Waterscapes Best in Show are Jay Decker for his oil on canvas, “O’Dell Creek”, Robert Nowak for his photography, “Lupin Falls” and Karen Russo for her stoneware, casein, acrylic, River of Grace”. Jay, Robert and Karen are Fusion Art’s featured artists for the month of March 2022, and as Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s annual group show in Santa Fe, New -Mexico in 2023.

Other winners include second place winners Will Noble, Evan Fisher and Michele Bourdeau. Third place awards went to Nancie Quah, Elizabeth Kayl and Sherry Turpenoff. Fourth place awards went to David LaPalombara, Mark Weller and Karen Ford. Fifth place prizes were awarded to Nancy Price, Will Thompson and Emily Cyr.

Twelve honorable mention winners complete the exhibition awards. Honorable mentions in the Traditional Art category went to Jan Lowe, Emma DeVries, Deng Lili, Deo Prasad Rai, Lucy Teng and Song Qunying.

Honorable mentions in the Photography and Digital category went to Fabienne Sowa, Barbara Mierau-Klein, John Gregg, Ilona Abou-Zolof, Nadav Cohen and Joanne Chase-Mattillo.

The other finalists in the exhibition all exemplified unique creative talents and we are honored to feature their works on the Fusion Art website.

The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists around the world, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, India, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Russia and Spain. In total, the gallery judged 510 entries and accepted 168 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for the month of March.

Founded by award-winning artist Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was imagined and formed by a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while providing the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.

Each month and each quarter, Fusion Art organizes solo and group art competitions and exhibitions on a unique theme.
