Pakistan Today Hosts NFT’s First Immersive Virtual Art Exhibition

Pakistan is no less so in terms of talent, and as in any other field, the country has a lot in the field of the arts. Unfortunately, despite being an asset to the country, Pakistani artists and designers are not sufficiently encouraged and promoted.

However, Pakistan is now ready to host the first immersive art exhibition, Genesis 50+, an NFT exhibition today (December 30) and the day after tomorrow (January 1, 2022), which could prove to be revolutionary in allowing Pakistani artists to generate huge income in the future.

This first-of-its-kind exhibition aims to explore and create a dialogue with artists and creators through different mediums of new-age media and to develop an understanding of immersion in the future with new tangible means of expression and intangible.

Event curator Zain Mursaleen, who is also an artist, believes the event will prove to be a milestone for the Pakistani artist community as more than 50 Pakistani artists will enter the metaverse, where significant investment are made all over the world.

Talk to Geo.tv, Mursaleen said the world holds NFT art exhibitions frequently, but no one in Pakistan had come up with the idea until now. He said it will be an event where a large number of unknown artists get massive exposure for their work and talent.

“Since Pakistan does not currently allow cryptocurrency trading, this is only a community building exhibit and focuses on introducing our artists to the metaverse and connecting them to the rest of the world. “said Mursaleen.

He said that no one sells or buys things in this exhibition, but once Pakistan allows cryptocurrency transactions, such events will benefit artists and creators in Pakistan as well as the community and in the country in an exceptional way.

Speaking about how he welcomed such a large number of attendees for the exhibition, Mursaleen said he is in contact with artists and creators only through the internet.

As Mursaleen shared his experience, he pointed out how useful and fast the internet space is.

“It took me barely 30 or 40 days to get all the participants together for the event when I connected with them via the Internet when it would have taken almost a year if I had tried to connect in nobody, ”he said.

Mursaleen said the response he received from the artists was overwhelming as each of the artists and creators wanted to participate. However, he said no one knew how to do it.

Sharing details of the two-day event, Mursaleen said it will take place in two phases. The first phase will be a live open mic session on Twitter, @zainulmursaleen and @NftismWorld, where participants will discuss their work, experiences and expectations.

The session will open at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m., while the second session will start at 4 p.m. on the second day and end at 11:30 p.m. In a second phase, the link to the immersive online virtual gallery will be shared today at 8:30 p.m. which will be accessible to all.

Mursaleen said people are invited to join the session so that they can find out more about the exhibition and the artists participating in it.
