RGU organizes an art exhibition at the State Art Gallery

Guwahati: The Royal School of Fine Arts, Royal World University organized a 5-day art exhibition, which started on June 12 at the State Art Gallery, Rabindra Bhawan, Ambari, Guwahati. The event is an annual exercise for fine arts students.

The exhibition was opened by the Vice-Chancellor of RGU, Prof. (Dr) SP Singh, in the presence of eminent artists Kishor Kumar Das and Maneswar Brahma. The university’s registrar, Dr. Diganta Munshi, along with professors and students were present at the exhibition.

The exhibition featured paintings, sculptures and other works of art designed and created by RGU students.

Kishore Kumar Das, Secretary of North East Lalit Kala Academy, said, “These works of art are quality work, which is why RGU is doing a good job in developing young artists.

The Vice-Chancellor said the exhibition helps young talents at the university to explore creativity.

Prominent artist Maneswar Brahma said the artworks on display have a contemporary concept.

Many art lovers across the city thronged the exhibit and felt that the artwork was the work of professionals.
