From December 10 to February 12, 2022, the Coos Art Museum will present two special exhibitions of works from its rental / sale gallery. Works by local and regional artists will be exhibited in the Mabel Hansen and Uno Richter galleries. The works will include a variety of styles, media and sizes. The Hansen Gallery will present abstract works of art while the Richter Gallery will present maritime-themed works. A free reception for the exhibition will take place on Friday, December 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The mask will be compulsory for all participants.

The works of art will be available for immediate sale or may be rented by members of the Coos Art Museum. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the hire / sell gallery and participating artists. It is also a perfect opportunity to support both the museum and local artists while acquiring a unique gift for the holidays.

The Coos Art Museum has been a cultural hub on the scenic South Coast of Oregon since 1966. It occupies a 1936 US Federal Art Deco building in downtown Coos Bay. The museum offers a wide range of artistic activities, including exhibitions, art classes and lectures. The hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Admission to the museum is $ 5 generally, $ 2 for students, veterans and the elderly, and free for museum members.
