VOX Gibraltar News – 48th Gibraltar International Art Exhibition

Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Department of Culture, is calling for entries for the 47th Gibraltar International Art Competition. The works will be exhibited in the Gustavo Bacarisas galleries from November 3 to 13, 2021.

The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over as of 22 October 2021. A maximum of two paintings and two sculptures can be submitted by each artist with an entry fee of £ 10 applicable.

The works must be original and not have previously been presented in competition.

The prices are :

1st prize The Gustavo Bacarisas Prize £ 5,000

2nd prize The Jacobo Azaguri Prize £ 2,000

3rd prize The Leni Mifsud Prize £ 1,500

Best Gibraltar Theme The Rudesindo Mannia Price £ 1,000

Best Young Artist (16-24 years old) The Mario Finlayson Award £ 1,000

All award-winning works listed above will become the property of the Ministry of Culture. Registration forms and conditions are available from:

Registrations are to be dropped off at Galeries Gustavo Bacarisas from Wednesday October 20, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday October 22, 2021. Applications will be exhibited in the Gustavo Bacarisas galleries from November 3 to November 13, 2021.
